Intelligo Edu overview

The Challenge

Traditional classroom learning often struggles to engage students in complex subjects or provide experiential learning. Teachers face difficulties in demonstrating abstract concepts, conducting virtual experiments, or making lessons interactive. Existing solutions, like videos or slides, lack immersion and fail to inspire curiosity, limiting knowledge retention.

Project Process & Timeline

Week 1 VR Navigation Research

Researched spatial UI design guidelines and ran user interviews with teachers on EdTech tools.

Week 2 Gesture Mapping & Testing

Designed user-friendly gesture maps and interactive menu flows for students in 3D VR mockups.

Week 3 High-Fidelity Assets Delivery

Rendered educational module panels, set up visual design variables, and exported specs.

Understanding User Insights

I gathered qualitative feedback and analyzed standard workflow bottlenecks to establish clear visual milestones before designing structural interfaces.

Designing the System

ntelligo delivers a VR-based learning experience that transforms the way students interact with educational content. The VR headset allows students to explore immersive simulations, interactive lessons, and virtual experiments across subjects. Teachers can customize learning modules, track student progress, and create collaborative VR sessions. The interface is intuitive, ensuring both educators and students can navigate VR experiences with minimal learning curve, making education interactive, engaging, and future-ready.

Overcoming Obstacles & Prototyping

One major challenge was designing a user-friendly interface that works seamlessly within a VR environment, balancing interactivity with simplicity. Ensuring accessibility for students of different age groups and technical abilities required thoughtful navigation, gesture controls, and feedback systems. Another challenge was creating a workflow that allowed teachers to manage content effectively without getting overwhelmed by technical complexity. Iterative prototyping, testing in classroom scenarios, and continuous feedback from educators shaped the final design.

Key Takeaways & Reflections

VR design requires spatial sizing

UI panels in VR must float at eye level and scale dynamically to prevent simulator sickness.

Inclusive testing is critical

Testing gesture panels with various student age groups resolved interaction logic glitches early.
